Krishna lists the 26 divine qualities leading to liberation: fearlessness, purity, steadfastness in yoga, charity, self-control, study, austerity, simplicity, non-violence, truth, non-anger, renunciation, equanimity, not finding fault, compassion, non-covetousness, gentleness, modesty, steadiness, energy, forgiveness, fortitude, cleanliness, non-malice, and absence of pride. Then the demonic: 'These people know neither proper action nor proper renunciation — neither purity, nor proper conduct, nor truth.' Lust, anger, and greed are the three gates of hell — abandon them.
