Chapter 6 · Dhyāna Yoga (Ātma Sanyāma)

47 verses

The Yoga of Meditation. Krishna describes the path of meditation in practical detail: sit in a clean, stable place; fix the gaze on the tip of the nose; control the mind. The mind, he says, is 'more difficult to control than the wind.' Arjuna worries: what of someone who begins the spiritual path but doesn't complete it — does he lose both worlds? Krishna reassures: no spiritual effort is ever wasted; such a soul is reborn in a pure family and continues from where they left. 'Among all yogis, the one who worships me with devotion within, I consider the most complete yogi.'
