The Book of the Horse Sacrifice. Yudhishthira performs the Ashwamedha Yajna over a full year to cleanse war-guilt. Arjuna accompanies the sacred horse across all of India, fighting all who challenge it. Contains the Anugita — Krishna's second, shorter recapitulation of the Gita to Arjuna (who admits he has forgotten parts). Also the story of the mongoose who challenged all the sacrificial merit.
ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧದ ಗ್ರಂಥ. ಯುದ್ಧಪಾಪ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಯುಧಿಷ್ಠಿರನ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದ ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧ ಯಾಗ. ಯಜ್ಞಾಶ್ವದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಜುನ ಭಾರತವನ್ನೇ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಸವಾಲೆಸೆದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ್ದು. ಗೀತೆಯ ಸಾರವನ್ನು ಮರೆತೆನೆಂದ ಅರ್ಜುನನಿಗೆ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಅನುಗೀತೆ. ಯಜ್ಞದ ಪುಣ್ಯವನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ ಮುಂಗುಸಿಯ ಕಥೆ.
